Your face can be a pass
Universal Studios Japan™ employs NEC's facial recognition engine named "NeoFace" as part of their access control system, to realize more efficient ticketing and smoother entry into one of the largest and most famous theme parks in Japan. |
Facial Recognition
Using the human face as a key to security, the biometrics face recognition technology has received significant attention in the past several years due to its potential for a wide variety of applications in both law enforcement and non-law enforcement.
Face images can be captured from a distance without touching the person being identified, and the identification does not require interacting with the person. NEC's face recognition technology can be implemented as a functionally independent application, or seamlessly integrated into new or existing biometrics security solutions by system integrators and solution providers.
Fingerprint Identification
NEC has dedicated over three decades in developing the most efficient and accurate fingerprint identification technology. And today, NEC is the world's leading supplier of fingerprint biometrics for both law enforcement and identity management applications. NEC fingerprint identification technology is empowered by a unique matching algorithm which enables us to provide the lowest false accept and false reject rates - with the fastest 1:n database searches for identification.
In addition, Positive Identification (PID) adds another innovative and competitive edge to our fingerprint identification technology. Emerging from NEC's proven AFIS technology, PID provides the most advanced pattern identification and fingerprint matching available today.
Iris Recognition
Every eye is unique to each individual. Using the iris image, NEC's Iris Identification technology provides an accurate, stable, scalable and highly sophisticated human authentification technology - designed to provide positive identification and verification of individuals.
It is also scientifically proven to be safe and operationally reliable. A unique pattern is formed in the human iris when an individual is around 6 months old, and remains unchanged throughout his lifetime, providing a reliable and stable means of identification. The probability of 2 individuals having the same iris pattern is 1 in 1078. Hence, it is impossible to counterfeit a distinctive iris pattern by any scientific technology.
Hand Vascular Pattern
NEC developed that Hand Vascular Pattern recognition system to be technology as reliable as a heartbeat. NEC Hand Vascular Pattern ID is an accurate, highly usable, stable and scalable human authentification technology designed to provide positive verification of individuals.
The Hand Vascular Pattern System (VP-II) has demonstrated fantastic performance in harsh environments such as factories, construction sites and military bases. It has surpassed expected results within these rugged environments accurately verifying scarred and contaminated hands.
